Sydenham House is a long established practice who aim to provide a high quality, comprehensive medical service for families in West Hull and the surrounding suburban villages.
Established in 1887, this is probably the oldest medical practice in its original purpose built surgery. The building has recently been extensively modernised and extended to provide flexible accommodation for 21st Century medicine whilst retaining the original Victorian charms of the building. Located close to the post-graduate centre and Hull Royal Infirmary, there is easy access to the medical library and other facilities.
Four full-time partners provide antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, contraception, child health surveillance, homeopathy and occupational health services in addition to general medical services to a list of approximately 10,000 patients.
A full complement of practice nurses, secretarial, administrative, reception and attached staff complete the team.
We are virtually paperless and fully computerised including appointments.
Out of hours experience is provided by sessions at the local emergency centre run by TENYAS with the support of the trainer, Dr Rusling.
