History of the Practice
St Andrew's Group Practice is a busy inner city practice, located in West Hull,
within a Health Centre. We are hoping to move into 'up to date' purpose built
premises further down Hessle Road, at the St Andrew's Retail Park during 2002.
We are a Training and Research Practice.
The Partners
Dr Raghunath, (male) married with one child. His special interests are
Asthma and Research & Development. He performs Endoscopy Sessions at the
local hospital. He is currently doing a higher degree and is the lead for the
Practice Research.
Dr Mark Findley, (male) married with 3 children. His special interests are
Dermatology and he is an Executive Member of the West Hull Primary Care Trust.
Dr Shama Joshi, (female) married with 2 children. Her special
interest is Child Health and she also holds sessions for the Hull & Holderness Community Health Trust in Specialised Child
Services.
Dr Karel Reinders, (male) lives
with his partner. His special interests are Minor Surgery and Child Health.
NURSING STAFF
Nurses - Linda Norfolk, Lisa Turner, Kath Howlett
The nurses provide a range of services including initial Health Checks, Well Person checks, Cytology Screening, Vaccination and Immunisation for children and travel, as well as Chronic Disease Management and Cardiology ECG tracings in the clinics.
All nurses are involved in research too.
PRACTICE STAFF
The Practice is fully supported by a Practice Manager, Assistant Practice
Manager and a full compliment of Administration staff.
PRACTICE PREMISES
The practice benefits form sharing the
Health Centre with Physiotherapy and other Community Services.
PRACTICE COMPUTERISATION
The Practice operates the latest upgrade
of EMIS Clinical System that is fully utilised by all partners and staff. We are
also linked to the NHYS Net and E-mail system.
PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY
The Practice functions democratically with team spirit and
a team building
forefront in order to achieve the following objectives; to provide good quality
care to patients, continuing education of patients to take responsibility of their
health and use the available resources
effectively.
