The Brough Practice is part of a larger Group Practice with another main surgery at South Cave and two branch surgeries at North Cave and Little Weighton. The Registrar will spend the vast majority of their time in the Centurion Way Surgery, which is modern purpose built premises containing a seminar room, minor ops theatre, health promotion room and the Registrar’s own consulting room.
Brough is an expanding village about 14 miles from the centre of Hull on the Humber Riviera! The Practice covers an area of about 100 square miles of the Yorkshire Wolds with the main population centres at Brough and South Cave.
The working environment is very pleasant and busy enough to provide good experience for the Registrar without swamping them. The Partners at Brough are all enthusiastic teachers. There are
five Partners at Brough and a salaried GP
Dr Paul Charlson - Ex-course Organiser and Trainer. He is also PCIP lead for the
PCT. In addition to this he runs an Acupuncture Clinic.
Dr Stephen Allen - GP Appraiser. He is involved in audit and clinical governance and an LMC member.
Dr Sue Partridge - An ex East Yorkshire VTS GPR. Her main interest is minor operations and cryotherapy.
Dr Mick Roberts - A recent addition to the partnership. He has worked in Africa for several years prior to joining us.
Dr Tab Tinker - works in the Practice on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Dr Naila Loqueman - an ex East Yorkshire VTS GPR, her interest is diabetes.
The GPR will have access to an excellent Primary Care Team who are used to teaching as the Practice has been involved in GP Education for 25 years.
In addition to the usual experiences there is an opportunity to learn about dispensing, aviation medicine and acupuncture.
