This 8 doctor group (with two female half time partners) is based in the pleasant market town of Driffield on the East Yorkshire Wolds and looks after
13,800 patients. We work from a converted Georgian house in Driffield and a branch surgery in Nafferton - both owned by the partners.
The practice is well organised, fully computerised (with our own intranet), and dispensing. We
have excellent nursing and primary care teams (including nurse practitioner), in
house counselling and homeopathy. We work hard and we’re a democratic bunch.
Partners interests to tap into whilst with us include occupational health, Medical politics/management
(current chair and nursing representation on local PCT), Palliative Care, BASICS, Medical Audit and Neonatology.
Part of the Driffield experience is the Alfred Bean Hospital where we enjoy open access to GP beds, Physiotherapy, X-rays, and visiting consultants who are happy to have GP registrars learn along side them. We cover the minor injuries unit (which doubles as an out of hours
centre) with the other practice in town. On call approximately one in 12.
The enthusiastic tradition of teaching and learning at undergraduate and registrar level now encompasses practice based education for every one in the
team.
We have a well stocked library and comprehensive teaching equipment. There is good support for
Summative Assesment, and MRCGP examination, and a strong commitment to making your training relevant and personal.
On offer is the opportunity of wide experience of primary health care in this friendly, innovative practice.
